Hi i am new to these posts and needed some suggestions/help with some questions that keep me up at night.
Last year I bought a 1990 Chevy K1500 (1/2 ton) with a blown 350 tbi in it. Just recently I purchased a GMC K2500 (3/4 ton) off a buddy with a good 350 tbi in hopes of swapping the motor. Just recently I noticed the tranny on the 2500 was much bigger and don't know if this will cause some problems later on. I have the flywheel from the 1500 still and I'm wondering if its just a matter of strapping that one on, if that will solve the problem. Also will There be any differences between the two wire harness'?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Wow clearly I'm in the wrong place, seems like nobody here knows anything about engine swaps. Oh we'll moving on from these wanna-be mechanic/pussy trucks that you guys own. Lowering your truck?? What a joke. ***

wow.. clearly i missed a forum to cover..  there are about 40 car and truck magazines here..

you will .. if you ever drop back in...

find that there are several optional automatic transmissions in GM trucks

there are 700R4s...  and in those years..  i think 1991 was the first year for the 4L80E which is an over sized TH400 with an overdrive section added inside the extended length case..

there are possible some allison transmissions scattered in there..  they were mostly

the 90 and 91 engines should swap directly...  i don't know if there are slight differnces in the emission controls..  or the wiring harness. but you should be able to spot the differences...
